If you haven’t tried using the OverDrive or Libby apps for added convenience, a new LibGuide [New Window] is available to walk you through some basics.
While the Hawaii State Public Library System remains closed through May, you can even access their bountiful OverDrive collection using the OverDrive/Libby app you use for our collection. See “Setting Up the App” in the LibGuide [New Window] for more details.
And don’t forget, our “virtual” doors are always open with an assortment of digital Research Tools [New Window] to access e-books, periodical articles, and streaming videos.
The Library’s OverDrive [New Window] e-book collection includes an assortment of health and wellness titles.

Borrowing an e-book on OverDrive is for 14 days. These e-books are returned automatically, although you can return them early in the “Loans” section of your online account.

One spot of good news during this COVID-19 crisis is that many academic vendors are temporarily loosening restrictions to their electronic content. JSTOR is one such vendor. From now through June 30, we have been granted access to more than 35,000 multidisciplinary ebooks, archive journal collections, and more.
It’s easy to find what you need in JSTOR. To get started, enter your keyword(s) in the search box.
From the search results page, you may filter by type of content, or add another search term.
When you find an article of interest, click on the title for more information.
Read the article online by clicking on > to turn the page, or download the PDF file.
