Our Thanksgiving food drive for Hānai iā Leeward ends this Friday–November 22nd! Please help us restock our school’s pantry. The donation bin is at the Learning Commons’ main entrance.

AUW Annual School Supply Drive: June 24 – July 12

AUW SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE 2019

 

The library is collecting school supplies for Aloha United Way’s Annual School Supply Drive: June 24 – July 12. Supplies will distributed to homeless keiki. Top 10 supplies needed:

  1. Backpacks
  2. Calculators
  3. Crayons
  4. Colored Markers
  5. Colored Pencils
  6. Ear Buds
  7. Erasers
  8. Folders
  9. Glue
  10. Glue Sticks

What is National Library Week? Each year, around the 2nd week of April, libraries across the nation will highlight the roles of libraries, librarians, and staff and what part they play in communities. This year’s National Library Week theme is: Libraries = Strong Communities.

For most students at Leeward Community College, the library is the first place they go when they are in need of answers. Come by and let us show you what we have to offer (besides books & computers)!

Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF) Ka Pa’alana Holiday Toy Drive

Toy Donation Box

We are collecting as many new/unwrapped toys as we can! The toys will be distributed to the Partners in Development Ka Pa‘alana Program [New Window], which serves homeless and at-risk families on the Leeward Coast. Toys should be geared towards pre-school children, ages 5 and under. The drive ends Friday, December 7th.

This will be the library’s last 50 Acts of Service event for the year.

Ka Pa‘alana Holiday Toy Drive

The library is hosting a holiday toy drive for the Ka Pa‘alana Homeless Family Education Program [New Window], which serves homeless and at-risk families on the Leeward Coast. The drive begins Monday, November 26th.

Please consider donating a toy, two, or more so we can ensure each child participating in this program has a gift for the holidays. Toy donations should be geared towards pre-school children ages 5 and under. We are aiming for 150 toys!
