Expanded access to resources in response to COVID-19

Publishers, database vendors, and non-profit organizations are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by offering temporary, free access to content. The HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service offers access to millions of volumes from US research libraries with full-text access to volumes held by the UHM Hamilton Library. The National Emergency Library from the Internet Archive is a collection of digitized books supporting emergency remote teaching. Collections from JSTOR, Project Muse, Cambridge University Textbooks, Harvard Business Review ebooks, and more are available for a limited time (view list).

These temporarily free resources along with the Library’s subscription databases and online collections and no-cost OER repositories and collections offer continued and expanded access to valuable and credible resources during this time of crisis.

To prevent more information overload, librarians are available to assist you with navigating these and other resources. Contact us by phone, email, or online chat. Online consultations are also available to you and to your students. Additional services specifically for students include printing, course reserves, and extended laptop loans.
