It’s Finals Week!!! A few service announcements:
Laptop Returns
We will be setting up a laptop return table in front of the Learning Commons, May 13-15 (Wednesday to Friday):
- Wednesday: 8am – Noon
- Thursday: Noon – 4pm
- Friday: 8am – Noon
If students are unable to return their laptops during these times, they can contact us by phone (x210) or email (lcccirc@hawaii.edu) to make arrangements for other drop-off times. Library staff are available Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm.

Finals Countdown [New Window], Week 2: December 9-12
We’ll be offering FREE KiMOBEAN coffee to students in Kapunawai at 5pm, while supplies last!
Coffee is funded by Student Government. Students must show their Leeward ID with the Fall 2019 validation sticker. Please pass this on to your students! Mahalo!

During the 2nd week of Finals Countdown [New Window], we will be showing Lady Bird [New Window] in Kapunawai: Wednesday, December 11th, noon, and encourage attendees to bring their own lunches. Please spread the word to your students!
Directed by Greta Gerwig, Lady Bird (2017) was nominated for 5 Oscars and won 2 Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The film is a coming-of-age comedy about a teenager (Saoirse Ronan) and her issues with her mother (Laurie Metcalf) during her senior year of high school.
We will also be hosting a raffle for student attendees! Mahalo to Jason Barron, Hot Dog Hawaiʻi (Library Concourse), for the hot dog donations!
- 1st Prize: Leeward CC logo lunch bag + voucher for one free hot dog
- 2nd Prize: Voucher for one free hot dog

The library is open until 9PM Mondays – Thursdays and we offer de-stressing activities and study snacks in Kapunawai, starting at 4PM. Please encourage your students to drop by, grab study snacks, and take a few coloring pages!

Our last event for Finals Countdown [New Window] will be a lei workshop in Kapunawai, Thursday, May 9th, 8AM-4PM.
We’ll have lei workstations (which will include tī leaves, yarn, ribbon, needles, & string) and demos throughout the day. Feel free to B.Y.O.F. – bring your own foliage (i.e. flowers, leaves, etc.)!
